Our society needs to lose this mindset that people need to work for a living. We have the technology that not everyone has to work, and everyone can still have what they need.

10:13 Well… it’s already like that
The elites who own the means of production are the ones benefitting from the rise of the productivity, that’s the problem. Efficiency itself isn’t the problem

But what if instead of creating big businesses with a lot of employees, now we will create a lot of small businesses with few employees?

Oh noooo! It's such a bad terrible thing that we won't be required to sell our lives away for the better good of society! What are we gonna do with all the free time and extremely cheap resources?!

The most scary part of this isnt the fact we are losing jobs: if we lose most jobs, we probably wouldnt need to do any because machines wouldve done all the labor. But we can only choose one: not doing any jobs, or having AI.

Capitalism is where capitalists run the means of production (though corporations and other business types) and socialism is when the people runs the means of production (usually through the government or through workers’ collectives), what will we call it when the means of production is run by AI?

I want to think all these jobs being done affordably for us by machines will mean we will have to do Less Work for a Better Standard of Living. But the selfishness and competitive attitude in industry leads to the elite, controlling the machines, controlling the rest of us.

Medicine will never be automated. Like ever. We’re ages away. It’s too complex. Doctors jobs are wayyy to complex, not just the technical and clinical/interpretation/diagnostic part but also empathy/ communication which will never be replicated

Any old news station would need many more to reach the same amount of people”
Many more people to openly lie to the public 💀💀

In an automated world, we won't need to buy anything to survive. We'll already, all have it.
So we won't need money, or jobs to survive.

Your comparison of Google to general motors biggest problem is that you're not including the people (like yourself) that make money from YouTube. Google controls a product people can use to provide something (entertainment or information) to others and make money from it. Everyone is always scared of automation yet it always makes us all wealthier. Just comparing employees is silly anyway because you're forgetting the entire reason Netflix squashed Blockbuster: they offered the same or better product for less money. Where do you think the money people save by using Netflix goes? We get to spend it on other, nicer, things. That's the only way wealth actually gets increased and is the reason why basically everybody's standards of living are higher now than just years ago. Your points about number of jobs and hours worked are also uneducated. Native American tribes had full employment with long hours, yet obviously that doesn't equal an economically better off society. The stat about producing more by working less or the same hours is a good thing, not a bad. Many of the issues mentioned in the video are also the result of bad government policies making automation more attractive (unions, minimum wage laws, etc.) or education less valuable (government backed loan programs). A science channel should probably stay away from economic topics.

Our world was being change and change so rapidly, that technologies may replaced us I'm afraid for a void reason that maybe in the future AIs will be the users of our world, which was a feared dystopian, but in my country, The Philippines we do uses modern technologies, but only androids, iOS, Cherry Mobile Products, and much more however we don't want to get replacement of these machines to do our work, we just want to mind our own.
